Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman after following her from a train station in Melbourne’s north.
Officers were told the man followed a woman into a premises on Railway Crescent in Broadmeadows in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police say the man sexually and physically assaulted the woman before fleeing the scene.
The woman then reported the incident to the local police station and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Images from the scene show forensics combing the building for glues. Other officers are conducting patrols of the area, police said.
