Two men in their 60s are the latest Victorians to die with Covid-19, health authorities have confirmed.
One man was from Hume and the other man was from the Mornington Peninsula.
“We pass on our deepest condolences to the friends and family of these individuals and we know it will be a very difficult time for them,” treasurer Tim Pallas said.
There are currently 429 people in hospital with Covid-19, 97 who are in intensive care and 54 of whom are ventilated.
Of the cases in hospital yesterday, 90 per cent were not vaccinated, 5 per cent were partially vaccinated and 5 per cent were fully vaccinated.
“It’s just a testament to the value of vaccinations and how it can protect you and your community,” Mr Pallas said.
