Preston 20 June,2022(TIE)Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian was struck by a car in Beaconsfield this morning.
The male pedestrian was crossing at a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of Brunt Road and Princes Highway, when he was hit by a white Ford Ranger about 6.45am.
A 59-year-old Beaconsfield man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle, a 26-year-old Beaconsfield man is currently in custody, assisting investigators with their enquiries.
Detectives are investigating to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
