Preston 23 June 2022(TIE)The purported integrity problem surrounding the upcoming AFL Women’s draught and its probable top choice is the subject of discussions between the AFL and clubs.
Six Victorian clubs and the AFL will meet on Thursday afternoon to discuss the recent nomination of Sydney as their planned destination by two of the top Victorian draught prospects.

Possibly the first pick Two of Victoria’s most promising young athletes, Montana Ham and Sofia Hurley, have chosen to leave their home state and have submitted nominations for the New South Wales draught pool.

This week, Ham’s manager, Alex Saundry, stated that her choice was “a university and lifestyle choice.”

Sydney, which holds the first five picks in the NSW pool, is anticipated to select both players.

Additionally, some interstate clubs may have been offered contracts to draftees that included incentives outside of their playing contract as an additional incentive to nominate outside of their home state, according to Victorian clubs, who will outline their concerns to the league in the meeting.

In the aftermath of Gold Coast young gun Charlie Rowbottom’s shocking request to name Queensland as her draught destination at the end of 2021, it was a concern that was brought up before the AFL Women’s Competition Committee.
