Melbourne Aug28(TIE)Apple on Friday introduced a new service application for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models that go through sound troubles when setting or receiving calls.
The “iPhone 12 and iPhone provider Service Program for No Sound Issues” covers a restricted quantity of gadgets manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021, Apple says.
According to a record detailing the application and its terms, a “very small percentage” of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro model may ride sound problems due to an issue that should fail on the receiver module. Affected gadgets do no longer emit sound from the receiver when setting or receiving calls.
Those impacted can take their iPhone 12 or 12 Pro unit to Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for free service. As usual, units will be inspected prior to the provider and clients may want to pay for repairs that prevent the completion of the audio fix.
The software covers affected iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro units for two years after the first retail sale
