Residents in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs experienced tremors and minor rumblings as a result of a 2.3-magnitude earthquake near Ferntree Gully.

The Seismology Research Centre received reports of the quake, and a total of 85 “felt reports” were received by Geoscience Australia. Although there were no reports of damage or requests for assistance, residents in various suburbs, including Montrose, Bayswater, Ringwood East, Emerald, and Kilsyth, shared their experiences on social media, with some making light-hearted comments about the situation.
