The Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) is conducting a review of its schools that are facing “enrolment challenges.” The review is aimed at ensuring that the schools remain viable and can continue to provide quality education to their students.
According to the MACS, some of the schools that are under review may need to be merged or closed down. The review is being conducted in consultation with school principals and local communities, and the MACS has assured parents that any decisions made will be in the best interests of the students.
The MACS manages more than 330 Catholic schools across Melbourne and regional Victoria, with an enrolment of over 152,000 students.
