Tim Tszyu’s ended Stevie Sparks within three rounds as the Aussie superstar demolished the challenger with a relentless barrage of brutal body shots.
Tszyu had everything to lose in the fight, Spark had everything to gain.
Bravely stepping into the ring with just a week’s notice after Michael Zerafa pulled out of the fight, Sparks moved up two weight divisions to take Tszyu on and he was clearly outmatched.
While Spark started strong, Tszyu settled into his work and controlled him from the outset.
At the start of the third round, Spark’s corner earned him a little more time when an ice bucket was knocked over in the middle of the ring, but it delayed the inevitable.
Tszyu stepped in a minute left in the third, dropping Spark with a brutal body shot.
It was all but over then and there as Tszyu dropped him again to end the fight.
“The first one put him down but the second absolutely destroyed him,” Ben Damon said on Main Event.
With the fight being beamed in around the world after a deal with ESPN, Tsyzu quickly caught the world’s attention.
